Our Technical Lead, Michael O’Leary, has been mastering the world of electrical mechanics since 1978 and has been working with solar technologies since 2010.
His role at PowerTech Energy is to liaise with sales and design for projects and bring potential customers into our PowerTech Energy community. In this role, Michael enjoys enabling clients more affordable living and helping people in need to make their lives easier. He is motivated by delivering clients with the best solution with regard to price and time so customers’ energy requirements can be fulfilled.
His years of experience has seen him take on various roles in the field. He has experience working in high volume, fast paced and dynamic positions within Australia’s largest telecommunications company, Telstra, delivering high quality service/solutions in remote locations. Michael is highly qualified in the field, with an Advanced Certificate in Telecommunications Solar Installation and Design.
His specialisation in solar and energy storage happened because of his passion for helping the planet and his excitement towards the speed that renewable technology is evolving.
Michael’s favourite professional advice is to “get paid for what you enjoy doing and you’ll never work a day in your life,” and this is reflected in his daily mantra “don’t wish for it, work for it”.
A leader that has influenced Michael in his life is Nelson Mandela because of his resilience, belief system, and dignity.
